It can feel similar to the feeling you experience just before you fall asleep or just before waking completely from sleep.
Hypnosis is not sleep. You may look like you’re sleeping, but you’re awake during hypnosis. You’re just in a calm, deeply relaxed physical and mental state. Your muscles may become limp and heavy, your breathing rate will usually slow, and you may become drowsy.
Some people say it feels like daydreaming. You remain aware of what you’re doing and what’s being asked of you. If you don’t want to do something you’re asked to do under hypnosis, you won’t do it.
